Terms and Conditions

1. General

These terms apply to bookings and purchases of train journeys, experiences and related additional services offered by Joulupukin juna Oy , under the brand Lapland Spirit Rail., tarjoamien junamatkojen, elämysten ja niihin liittyvien lisäpalvelujen varauksiin ja ostamiseen.

By making a booking, the customer confirms that they have read and accepted these terms.

2. Booking

Bookings are made through our online store. A booking becomes binding once the customer has received a booking confirmation by email. The booking confirmation also serves as the ticket or proof of purchase unless otherwise stated.

The person making the booking must be at least 18 years old or have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

3. Payment

Online bookings are made through the FareHarbor booking system, and payments are processed via Stripe.

We accept major international credit and debit cards, as well as any other payment methods shown to the customer at checkout. The payment methods displayed may vary depending on factors such as the customer’s location, device, currency and payment settings. Stripe states that Checkout dynamically shows the eligible payment methods for the transaction, and FareHarbor also supports Apple Pay and Google Pay when Stripe is used as the payment processor.

Payment is charged at the time of booking unless otherwise stated for a specific product or service.

4. Delivery of the service

The service is considered delivered when the booked train journey or other service begins. The customer is responsible for arriving at the departure location on time and following the instructions provided.

5. Cancellations and changes

Any cancellation and amendment terms are provided in connection with the specific product or booking. If a journey is cancelled by the organiser, the paid amount will be refunded in accordance with the terms applicable to that product and the reason for cancellation.

6. Organiser’s right to cancel

Joulupukin Juna Oy reserves the right to cancel a journey due to insufficient participation, safety reasons, rolling stock or traffic disruptions, or force majeure. In such cases, customers will be informed as soon as reasonably possible and any refunds will be handled in accordance with the applicable terms.

7. Limitation of liability

Joulupukin Juna Oy shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages, such as loss of income, accommodation costs or missed onward connections, unless required by mandatory law.

8. Complaints

Any defect, omission or issue that can be addressed during the journey must be reported without delay to the guide, train staff or another representative of the organiser so that corrective action can be taken if possible.

9. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes should first be resolved through negotiation. If no amicable settlement is reached, the dispute shall be submitted to the competent court in Finland.
